Mouse wheel in editor ?pjhirst 09-10-2000, 03:27 PM Is there any way to use the mouse wheel in the vb editor. To scroll up and down etc. ?? Thanks Derek Stone 09-10-2000, 04:10 PM To put it simply, nope. It is in my opinion the biggest downfall of the program. -cl Sinister 09-10-2000, 05:06 PM WHAT?? I just saw this post now, in VB ever since I got it I have been using my third (roller wheel) button to scroll up and down! Derek Stone 09-10-2000, 05:22 PM Well it doesn't work for me or him so there must be a glitch in the software somewhere or maybe it is the different mice we are using. I'm glad it works for you though, you lucky, lucky... -cl pjhirst 09-10-2000, 05:41 PM Sinister, I am using VB6 SP4, Microsoft Ps2 Mouse with a wheel on it.. The wheel works in everything else notepad, web etc.. So whats your setup.. Thanks Guy's Sinister 09-10-2000, 05:57 PM I also run VB6, I have a Logitech Wheel Mouse on the PS/2 Port. pjhirst 09-10-2000, 06:50 PM There Must be a way.. I found another guy on the web that can use his mouse wheel in vb6 code window.. He said he installed Inteli mouse driver. I have only Microsoft ps2 mouse option in control pannel/Drivers, I chose this but no Joy.. Thank's Phil Hirst. pjhirst 09-10-2000, 07:30 PM I'v sorted it out (for me), It's a driver Problem. http://www.microsoft.com/Intellipoint/default.htm I downloaded latest Intelipoint software (nearly 4 meg) It has some good points though. But !!! VB code window wheel scroll now works a treat.. I have a microsoft intelimouse 1.1 (only £6.00) or so. If you do not have a microsoft mouse I sugest trying latest drivers, or even the Intelimouse software. Good luck & thanks, Phil Hirst usetheforce2 09-11-2000, 12:03 AM i, have a logitec trackman 5, it doesn't have a scroll wheel but it has and auto scroll function, and it doesn't work for me either. i think i;ll try to get some drivers, as pjhirst had suggested. Regards Regan whelanp 09-11-2000, 07:09 AM Thanks for the link/info. I have been trying to sort this one out for months. |
