translucent/irregular windows

I'm quickly becoming a fan of splash screens, and I want to know how
I can make translucent/irregular windows for splash screens... or do
I have to do this sort of thing in C++:mad: ?

That attachment is the source. It has been downloaded 11 times
since I reposted the attachment (look at the last post.) It is too
complex to just put in text in a post.
