LOL, actually I think he's speaking in microsoft-years  where 2006 for them is actually 2007 or maybe 2008 for the rest of us ;) :D

Perhaps they are using the Indian Civil Calendar, which means this year is 1926, so 2004 translates to, let's see, 2082!!

PS: Just been reading an article that described the date arithmetic bungles they made with Excel! :chuckle: It all makes sense now ......

As far as I know about Longhorn, we don't have powerful enought computers to run it at home.

Intel, AMD, ATI and all others are going nuts right now because Micro$oft expectations from next generation computers are REALLY BIG!

Well, I haven't seen Windows get any faster/needier of horsepower in a LONG time. The only [common] programs taking full advantage of the increased hardware power over the past years are 3D games. Otherwise, Windows is just "using a jackhammer to drive a nail."

Horse Power?
How about a 1000 cc engine?

It's not that bad. We've had the longhorn alpha/beta (I can't remember which it was) running on a 500Mhz PII with 256MB of RAM. Ok, it was torturously sluggish, but that PC is at least 6 times slower than a currently specified one.

Hardly. I don't think that they could be more different.
