I have no experience with Visual Basic, but I hope to read information from a switch.

I hope you guys could help me out with the command, and tutorial to help me out

what do you know about this switch? is it a networking switch or a on/off switch...do you know whats going to send you?

it has what you need to start sending/receiving serial data, do you know the configuration? baud rate, parity, data bits etc...?
