 What happened to my "Visual XNet 6.0 Release Date" post?

I posted a message showing the cost of Visual XNet 6.0 and it just disappeared?

Huh ?

I assume a moderator deleted it. Check your PMs, there might be something there. The post was probably considered spam. I didn't see it, but it sounds like you were advertising.

We were being somewhat relaxed as long as it was just showing
off some work that on something you were going to give away,
but we really have to draw the line with advertising your own
products here.

I'd say it was fine right up until you stuck a monetary amount on it.

So much for your empty promises about releasing the source code, eh?

Unbelievable.

Alternatively, you could buy Microsoft Notepad, for the lean mean price of $0!

You can write all the .NET apps you ever need to with it, and not a Windows XP logo to be seen!

Anyone know how much he wanted for his IDE?

Why are you interfering with my business???!!!

Is my IDE, and I can market it how I want. Well, notepad???

Let me ask you a question, how many times do you write your VB6 programs notepad huh?

You can live without intellisense?
You can live without a debugger?
You can live without having syntax highlighting?
You can live with having to siwtch between Notepad and a compiler? huh divil?

I DONT THINK SO.

So lets face the fact. We all like some nice IDEs at times. My IDE is just part of them all. Anyway, forget it...

Is my IDE, and I can market it how I want. Not true. This forum is moderated, and it is against the rules to advertise your products here. Your post was deleted because it broke the forum rules. You can live without intellisense?
You can live without a debugger?
You can live without having syntax highlighting?
You can live with having to siwtch between Notepad and a compiler? huh divil?

I DONT THINK SO.Ever heard of a little think called QuickBasic? It was the VB of the DOS era. People say it's for little kids. It's not. But that's another debate. Anyway, there were some programmers who started out using that. Was there intellisense? No. Was there syntax highlighting? No. Was there a debugger? Well, yes, but it was quite minimal indeed. You could write a program in DOS Edit very easily, as well, as the "IDE" offered only a few more features. Context sensitive help for example. But still, people got along just fine without all that fancy stuff.

Why exactly would I want to give you money for your IDE, when the one I use is probably 10 times better, and came with (read FREE) the product I've already purchased, namely, VS6?

Just curious.

And no, you can't necessarily market it however you want. I'll bet lunch you don't market it here.....

If you're inferring that your IDE is sufficiant to make VB6 programs (including a form designer and fully functional debugger) I can't wait to see that.

A debugger, my friend, is not something you can copy & paste from planetsourcecode.com.
