add logo/picture to shortcut

I created an installer for my application, but how do I make the shortcut on desktop become a logo or a picture that I want, instead of an ugly default picture that look like a piece of blank paper.

in your solution explorer right click on your project and go to properties. now under common properties go to the build tab. there you can set your own custom icon. now rebuild everything and it should use your icon.
