Downtime: Sunday

Forum will be down most of the day Sunday. Moving it to the backup server. This was delayed for a couple weeks because I have some hardware upgrades I wanted to do and finally got the parts. The backup is powered by an AMD T-Bird 700Mhz running on Redhat 7.2, Apache 1.3.22, and PHP 4.06. This is an upgraded backup from the old 400Mhz that we used in the past.
I will be switching from dual P3 1Ghz to Dual AMD xp 1900+ on a Tyan S2462UNG Thunder board. There is no upgradability left since the P3 line of processors is ready to be phased out by Intel and Xeon series of processors and motherboards are too pricey.

This might not happen this weekend. There seems to be a bug in the motherboard that doesn't allow me to use the new promise scsi controller. The board won't post with the controller in the 64bit 66Mhz slot. This is a 64bit card and it should work. I'm investigating this now and so far I found out I'm not the only one having problems with scsi controlers on this board. The new 64 bit nic works fine. If I can't get this worked out I will postpone until next weekend.
