Virgin Threads

A while back some of the users wanted to be able to view any threads that were not replied to. This would make it easier to answer questions without checking each forum for new threads.
Would this still be helpful?

Yep. :) This would make it much easier to find posts after a couple of days (translating into about 4 pages) of absence.

Before I vote... would this be just another optional way of looking at threads. Hmmm... did that makes sense? I mean, can I not view it that way if I decide I don't like it like that?

When I want to see all threads with 0 replies I just sort the forum
by replies.

No this won't be another way to view threads. This will just add a link on the main page to unanswered threads. I'll probably put it next to the mark unread link.

Kind of like "View New Posts" works?

[edit] omg... the number of the beast :) [edit]

Robby - that will partially work, but even threads that are months and months old can still go to the top. This way, it's just unread threads with no replies (I think... am I right?)

Volte, actually, when you sort by Replies, the filter by 10 days
stays there by default. You can then change this to 30 days or 2
days. (either way the most recent are always at the top).

Good point. :) I just have my profile defaulting to 'Show All Posts' making it much easier to view Code Library and Tutor's Corner. Still, this would be a good feature to have.

Absolutely... I'm not going to dismiss any new functionality.
But if it takes Bob a big effort, then it may not be worth it. If it's real
simple then hey why not.

All it would probably take is just a version of the "View New Posts" page, except with a modified SQL query bringing back the posts. Simple stuff. :)

Volte, if you would change your view back to default, you would get
all posts in Tutor's Corner, and the Code Library, that is how I set
the default for those forums.

Oh.. OK. Cool! Thanks. I didn't know we could even do that. Ahhhh, the many splendors of vBulletin. I love this board much more than UBBThreads.
