How to create a calendar like Outlook's Calendar?

Hello,

I am interested in created a logging application but I need a calendar that users can double click on a day in the calendar, enter in info, and then display the info they typed in that particular day --- pretty much just like Outlook's Calendar. Can anyone give me tips on how to do this. Would GDI+ be best to make this calendar. Did Outlook use GDI+?
