how to make a poker game?

hey!
i am interested in making a poker game in vb but i don't know where to start ( i am completely new to vb, started 3 weeks ago, but i know most of the basics). does anyone know where i can find a simple tutorial or something that will teach me how to make a simple game of poker ( with picture cards) in vb(4)? thx all

I can't remember where I saw it but there was a tutorial which made a blackjack game...the only thing I remember about it was that it made use of the card.dll (or cards.dll?) DLL file that comes with windows if you install solitare or hearts. Apparently this file contains card pictures and stuff.

yeah, i found cards.dll on my computer. you got any idea what to do with it now?

What I was getting at was that "cards.dll" would be a good search phrase to do a bit of web surfing. I typed it in and got a bunch of stuff. Here's one url:

In it, the guy mentions that cards.dll is a 16 bit DLL so it must be used with 16bit VB, not 32bit. Since you are using VB4, this shouldn't be a problem. I wonder if they have a 32bit version out there...cards32.dll perhaps?

I am a high school student who is taking visual basic and I know most of the basics. I would like to make a blackjack program. I found the cards for visual basic 6.0 but I would like to know is there a easy way to work with them and if there is a site that will help me?
