freelance work recommendations

i am expecting to use a freelance designer/programmer for my project in the near future. i have searched for this subject on google and i know of scriptlance.com. however i think i would value the recommendations of the people on this forum as to any sites they've received quality people from....

The other site is elance.com

You'll notice a large difference in price between RAC and Elance though. RAC is full of part-timers and kids who've been given VB for christmas, while Elance has real companies with many people. When choosing - remember, you get what you pay for...
