I spend on average about 5 or 6 hours a day having anything to do with visual basic. What about the rest of you? I know some of you have jobs where you work with VB all day.

I spend on average about 7-10 hours a day on my PC and I interact with Visual Basic just 3 or 4, when I get some work to do (I work as a freelancer). I like VB a lot, but I think there are other things more important in life than staying all day in front of VB (at my age - 18) :D Of course when I'll finish the college probably I'll work as a programmer in VB or VB.NET and then the problem will be different - I'll stay 10 or more hours in front of VB, but until then... :p

I code C# these days - and sometimes I code all day, other times I don't depending on distractions like meetings, training (new people), helping (more junior/new coders), etc. I also sometimes work wierd and/or extended hours as the situation demands, so I might code a few hours a day, or I might do a 16 hour coding marathon. Sometimes I might work a lot of extra hours after work and on weekends - and occasionally I'll "reclaim" a portion of that by leaving early once in a while if it's reasonable and possible. For example, we pushed new versions of code this last Saturday night - so it's most likely that I'll roll in at around 10am tomorrow and bail by 4:30 at the latest. The nice thing about my present employer is that we're allowed a decent level of flexibility in when we come and go - as long as we meet/exceed our required hours and stuff is getting done.

As far as total hours in front of a PC per day go, I easily do 12-16. Unless life or wife have something for me to do I'm either coding, playing PC games, or doing something on my computer.
