What's the difference? Obviously by adding the component you get the physical control but what happens if you don't add the reference for the component? Less functionality?

Wiz, There is no rule that says that you have to have a referenced object for a control. They are two separate things. Some controls may need call a referenced object library, but that is up to the control. A good way to learn about them is to create your own controls and objects in VB. ~T |
