Good Day,
I would like to generate a DOS window that pops ups when I execute the following like of code: shell (c:\temp\batchfile.bat). Currently a task bar entry is made but the window is collapsed. I would like for this DOS window to diaplay full size and visable so the user can see the information that is being displayed in the DOW window. Any suggestions on how t make this happen?
Thanks,
Dave

Have a look at this article on MSDN: How To Attach a Console Window to Your Visual Basic Program (http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=http://support.microsoft.com:80/support/kb/articles/q171/6/54.asp&NoWebContent=1)

I think all you want to do is this:

Shell "c:\temp\batchfile.bat", vbNormalFocus

By default the DOS window uses vbMinimizedFocus. Be aware thought that VB will carry on processing at the same time as your .bat file. If you would like for vb to wait for the bat file to finish have a look at this thread (http://www.xtremevbtalk.com/showthread.php?t=92828&highlight=shell+finished).
