Blinking Notify Icon

I would have thought that this is exactly what the notifyIcon was for, but so far, I think I have thought wrong. I think they should have named it sysTrayIcon

Anyway, I just want my notify Icon to flash when a particular event has been triggered (ie. an incoming message has been received)

So far I've tried flashwindow to no avail. The only thing that I could think of now is to use a timer to change the icon back and forth from one of two .ico files.

Any other suggestions?

Of cource that's what u have to do,
You keep two icons and use Const NIM_MODIFY = &H1 to modify the icons!
