'Avatars' ??gallicus 02-15-2002, 10:25 AM You know these 'Avatar' pictures that people have with their usernames, do they have to be in any particular format for upload? ChiefRedBull 02-15-2002, 11:17 AM Any image format should do it.... .gif, animated .gif, .jpeg, .jpg, perhaps .png and .tiff.. Flyguy 02-15-2002, 11:42 AM Keep the avatar as small as possible (not more then 75x75) Kitaiko 02-16-2002, 06:17 PM check out my avatar, I just made it yesterday, i think its pretty good Squirm 02-16-2002, 06:38 PM Well it couldn't be much worse than whatever you had there before. Looked like a guy leaping off a diving board or something. ;) Neat Volte 02-16-2002, 07:13 PM ( I think it was a skateboarder ) What did you make that with? Ulead Cool3D? I used to use that, until it expired. Anyway, it looks good Kitaiko. :) Bucky 02-16-2002, 07:19 PM Mine is related to my name... The Bucky name refers to Buckminster Fuller, who thought up the design for what is now called the Bucky Ball. Also, Carbon 60 is called buckminsterfullerene, because its shape resembles a bucky ball. A simpler name for a Bucky Ball would be a soccer ball. :) Kitaiko 02-17-2002, 03:45 AM Hey i think i have 1 of those things. Anyway, the other 1 i had b4 was me sk8ing, im kickfliping over a street hump thingy, and yeah i made it in unlead cool 3D, i like that program. wild wolf 02-17-2002, 09:15 AM is that u in the pic squirm? Squirm 02-17-2002, 09:23 AM No, its my dog....... Thinker 02-17-2002, 09:34 AM I thought avatar was supposed to be an image representing how you really see yourself, not just your face. All these faces are starting to scare me. ;) :D orufet 02-17-2002, 10:03 AM Bob's pic scares me the most.... :):) dcl3500 02-17-2002, 10:41 AM Hmmm, well I thought my 2:00AM, thinking to myself, "What the he!! am I taking pics of myself at this time of the day to post as my forum avatar." self portrait would be the scariest! Well, perhaps it is just the ugliest then. :D Although, if I must say so, I do like that touch of gray at the temples thing I have going on there. :) Flyguy 02-17-2002, 01:57 PM Man! You look like Harry Potter! Fixed typo Squirm 02-17-2002, 03:25 PM Hahahaha Oh my, thats a good one...... :D :D geez I wish one of these smilies was laughing. Volte 02-17-2002, 03:32 PM http://www.plauder-smilies.de/laugh2.gif I need a new avatar... Don't think it'll be me though. :) orufet 02-17-2002, 03:35 PM Yeah... I designed a bunch in PS, but none of them look half decent. It's hard to design an avatar so small. Oh well. I'll keep working at it. cds 02-25-2002, 02:18 AM Originally posted by Squirm No, its my dog....... kinda a wierd dog ;) <3 divil 02-25-2002, 04:22 AM That is one ugly dog ;) Iceplug 02-25-2002, 07:10 AM It's a new breed. The "Human Retriever".:-\ wild wolf 02-25-2002, 07:18 AM well this is getting funnier :D , squirm better take back ur words before they turn u into something else:p Squirm 02-25-2002, 07:43 AM Woof! wild wolf 02-25-2002, 09:47 AM LOL thats very cute :D The IceMan 02-25-2002, 11:02 PM how many posts I need to have to put an avatar ? The IceMan 02-26-2002, 01:06 AM i find out... 25 posts... LOL =D Iceplug 02-26-2002, 07:15 AM How do my sea creatures look? Does this one look better than the orange one I had before? Squirm 02-26-2002, 10:06 AM Well at least this one looks like a stingray. I spent ages trying to work out what the orange one was. wild wolf 02-26-2002, 10:24 PM my my have u all seen usetheforce2 avatar? looks like he is ready to go for a combat :D Kitaiko 02-27-2002, 12:16 AM changed mine again, now its me kickfliping divil 02-27-2002, 03:16 AM That is one annoying graphic to have to look at on a page. Banjo 02-27-2002, 04:26 AM Its also incredibly slow to load. Please change it. Thinker 02-27-2002, 07:17 AM Do we need to set a byte size limit on avatars? If so, what is reasonable? Kitaiko's is 19k and Volte's is 12k. Flyguy 02-27-2002, 07:21 AM I think 8 KB should be the max. Volte 02-27-2002, 01:55 PM Uhhh.. 8K? That's nothing for even 56K... Mine is 12K and it's not obtrusive or anything, doesn't take long to load. Also, remember that you can turn off avatars if you don't want to wait for them to load. Robby 02-27-2002, 02:00 PM Kitaiko, it's cool for the first few seconds, after a while my head starts to spin. :D :D :D Kitaiko 02-28-2002, 03:47 AM Yep mine is Reeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaalllly anoying. Ill change it. It was one of those things when you do them really late at night and think they are great, and wake up the next morning and say "Thats terrible!" Kitaiko 02-28-2002, 04:06 AM What about the water? Actually i dont like this one. Im making another 1 divil 02-28-2002, 04:34 AM I heard somewhere that you can actually survive without a little graphic by your name :P Iceplug 02-28-2002, 06:59 AM Or at least not an animated one. :) usetheforce2 02-28-2002, 12:06 PM All these faces are starting to scare me. HA HA! It is interesting to see what some people look like. I know i've been a memeber here for quite some time now. And there are many memebers here that i've no idea how they look (aside from don, simon, and wild wolf). I find that i create a mental image of what certain people and what could look like. Welll Like you for instance: if i had to presume, based on what i know of you, what you appearance would look like, i'de have to guess something like "Gandolf the Great" from the lord of the rings, much much younger mind you, but a very reserved level headed individual :) Always watching over the wreckless "hobbits" and keeping things in line. Gandolf, oopps i mean Keith we need to get you an avatar :) Regan Volte 02-28-2002, 12:08 PM aside from don, simon, and wild wolfUhhh (me being Simon), I assume you mean Squirm. I don't, and never intend to use a pic of me as my avatar. :) Banjo 02-28-2002, 12:13 PM reply to older post: Volte, remember that if there are several people involved in a thread then the number of downloads can get large. Say six different 12KByte avatars. That's 70KBytes. At 56KBit/s that is around 8/9 seconds just for the avatars. Squirm 02-28-2002, 01:21 PM Camera shy, people? :D Thinker 02-28-2002, 01:56 PM Well, my beard isn't that long, but otherwise, it is close enough. ;) :D  Squirm 02-28-2002, 02:12 PM Recently one of my friends, a computer wizard, paid me a visit. As we were talking I mentioned that I had recently installed Windows on my PC, I told him how happy I was with this operating system and showed him the Windows CD. Too my astonishment and distress he threw it into my micro-wave oven and turned it on. I was upset because the CD had become precious to me, but he said: 'Do not worry, it is unharmed.' After a few minutes he took the CD out, gave it to me and said: 'Take a close look at it.' To my surprise the CD was quite cold and it seemed to have become thicker and heavier than before. At first I could not see anything, but on the inner edge of the central hole I saw a inscription, in lines finer than anything I have ever seen before. The inscription shone piercingly bright, and yet remote, as if out of a great depth: 4F6E65204F5320746F2072756C65207468656D20616C6C2C204F6E65204F5320746F 2066696E64207468656D2C0D0A4F6E65204F5320746F206272696E67207468656D20 616C6C20616E6420696E20746865206461726B6E6573732062696E64207468656D 'I cannot read the fiery letters,' I said. 'No,' he said, 'but I can. The letters are Hex, of an ancient mode, but the language is that of Microsoft, which I shall not utter here. But in common English this is what it says:' One OS to rule them all, One OS to find them, One OS to bring them all and in the darkness bind them. Iceplug 03-01-2002, 06:59 AM  EEK! divil 03-01-2002, 09:14 AM Squirm: hahahah usetheforce2 03-01-2002, 11:30 AM Squirm, haha, you're quite the story teller ! I saw a inscription, in lines finer than anything I have ever seen before. The inscription shone piercingly bright, and yet remote, as if out of a great depth: :) KesleyK 03-01-2002, 02:34 PM Grrr...I just popped in my CD, after 30 seconds of flashing and flaming I have come to the conclusion that mine is not of the CDs of power. ****! Computer_Guy 03-01-2002, 04:21 PM I'm not camera shy, Squirm, but that's obvious, now isn't it? lol, anyway, I agree that if the pictures take up just a little bit of room, 56 k could go incredibly slow, as I have had my runins with it. Imagine, a 2002 Dell 8200, with 1.7 ghz, 256 RAM, and 80 gig hard drive, and my modem could have been made like 4-5 years ago!!! Anyway, just my two cents Ed Iceplug 03-02-2002, 10:11 AM We can take pictures of ourselves with the lowest JPG quality rate. Sounds like fun, huh? Hee hee hee hee... Computer_Guy 03-03-2002, 05:19 PM Hey, honestly, though, even though some people intend never to use pictures of themselves here, for whatever reason (security, self-insecurity, bad hair day, whatever), do you ever wonder what some of the people who go to this site really look like? Hey, it's just another...as this forum is called...Random Thought, but honestly think about it, and answer my question, please. Squirm 03-03-2002, 05:42 PM Well, Ive seen photos of some of the members which dont use them as avatars (The Hand, for example). Trouble is, its really hard to tell. Many people behave completely different on the net to how they behave in the real world. Thats what is so great about it. There are no prejudgements made on appearance. I have ideas in my head for just about every one of our regular members, based on similarities I make to the real world and how people behave. Often these ideas have been waaaay off the real thing. But yes, I do wonder, and it does interest me. Plus, I have a hard time even judging peoples ages on the net, let alone their appearance. :D Thinker 03-03-2002, 05:53 PM Plus, I have a hard time even judging peoples ages on the net, let alone their appearance. This is the thing I like about the internet. I don't have to worry about age or appearance to relate to others. People my age are supposed to think that our greater wisdom/experience somehow puts us above younger people and I hate that attitude. I want to relate to people as equals, no matter what age, smarts, looks, etc. So, I might be curious, but I really don't want to know (at least until I know the person so well that their looks can't affect me anyway.) usetheforce2 03-03-2002, 06:58 PM Very well put! I never "looked" at it that way! Iceplug 03-04-2002, 07:13 AM I don't want anybody to know what I look like. Besides, the most information that somebody can get about another person is found in the words and letters of the post - not enough to analyze to find out personal facts... or is there? Anyway, I look like a truck, so don't expect a picture of me on the forums anytime soon.:-\ :p Garrett Sever 03-04-2002, 08:45 AM Well, Ive seen photos of some of the members which dont use them as avatars (The Hand, for example). I don't hide behind my avatar. I don't care if people know what I look like. I am not insecure and (usually) don't have bad hair. I am exactly the same person online as I am in real life. However there are alot of jerks on the internet, and alot of predators. They try to invade your computer, steal your software or personal data, or mess with you for the fun of it. They rip photos off your websites and deface them with suggestive or rude comments or drawings. They call your house or send you hate mail, especially when you decide that you've had enough of them and try to put them in their place when they so badly need it. What you do and who you are on the web isn't half as anonymous as people believe, and when you are married (as I am) you have to worry about not only your personal safety, but that of your families. The last thing I want to do is have some sicko stalking my wife because I told him he was a jerk on the internet. Or deciding to do something horrible to one of my pets. Or keying my car, or ordering pizzas to my house, or the thousand other juvenile things which idiots do to make themselves feel better about their pathetic lives. So I choose to release only what I want to, and to those I trust. Sure, other people get access to the same information thru their skills or indiscretions from those I've misplaced trust in, but that's going to happen regardless. I'm certainly not going to lay it all out in front of them for a free-for-all. :( So, I choose an avatar which reflects my personality and appeals to me asthetically. If you want to see what I look like, go to my homepage. If you don't know where my homepage is, its because I don't trust you yet. End of story. And if you are on my trusted list, you know it because I hold relatively little back. Some people on this forum have my best source code sitting on their hard drives, and are free to use it however they wish in their own projects. A few have the complete source to a project I've worked on for over 2 months now. These people I trust intrinsicly, because I know they are not going to run off with my work and my life. I generally don't pry into people's personal lives, so I applaud those of you who have decided to use your own pictures as your avatar. I do not expect anyone here to tell me more about themselves than they want to, and by using your avatars you offer me your visage freely. You are braver souls than I. Just don't expect me to lay myself out and hand you a dagger. :-\ I am paranoid, antisocial, and generally surly, especially when I think about one of my not-so-cordial aquaintences out there trying to pry his way into my life, so if I don't let you in, don't force your way in. And you can save all your "you need more faith in humanity" speeches. I've heard them before and had them proven wrong more times than I can count. wild wolf 03-04-2002, 09:54 AM ill agree with u on this point hand, well said ChiefRedBull 03-04-2002, 01:31 PM Some good points Hand, but.... Deep breath, think happy thoughts... calm blue ocean calm blue ocean calm blue ocean hee hee :p Computer_Guy 03-04-2002, 01:43 PM Yeah, good point Hand, a family is something you don't want to jepordize, it's one of those things that take a lot of work, and you get to enjoy it, so I respect your decision, but I've always felt whatever someone wants to do on the internet is his/her choice, and whatever they do has consequences, good or bad, Oh well, just putting in my two cents. Ed Thinker 03-04-2002, 01:48 PM And besides Computer_Guy, with a scary face like yours, who is going to come after you anyway. ;) j/k of course. :D ChiefRedBull 03-04-2002, 02:24 PM I dont think I'll put up a photo because I dont want ppl to know what I look like. This is probably because without a photo, I can retain a mysterious 'distance' from you, so you dont really have an image of me, more a godlike figure, halo, shining light ..... heh. Seriously though, I like to be able to have a persona online, and although I dont behave any differently on here to how I do in reality, that doesn't stop people from inventing me a persona of their own. Complex idea - your perception of my projected self image creates a unique image to you, one that you might not have formulated you knew what I looked like. Besides - does it matter what I look like? Plus of course, I can never get a good one taken... For the same reasons, I'm not sure that I want to know what you lot look like. Although I really don't mind if I do. In fact, in the case of Squirm, I had a good laugh at his photo. Cheered me up quite a lot really! :p Actually, it'd be interesting to try this: What does everyone think everyone else looks like? Do we have any similar opinons on the faceless ones? John 03-04-2002, 05:08 PM OK, this thread is getting incredibly long and I have yet to patcipate. Here is my $0.02 worth if anyone's interested ;) I won't use a pic of myself because I as well would like to keep my anonymity. That said I am not ashamed of the way I look so don't think that's it, I would just prefer to have people imagine what I look like :), similar to Calvin? Maybe I should use the pic of a celeb? As far as others including their pictures, it's no biggie to me if you want to use your pic as long as it is G rated! I must admit though it would be a little dissapointing to have everyone use their pic as I would lose the "God Like" image I have in my head of some of you. I as well don't behave or act any differently in "real life" than I do here and I am mostly sure there aren't too many people around here who do act differently, but it is nice to not be pre-judged by the way you look, good or bad. Heck I could have three heads and 1 eye and noo-one would know the difference... Oh wait I have made a few mistakes so maybe that is already known OOPS :D And there is my $0.02 Happy Coding, Orbity divil 03-05-2002, 02:53 AM I just think you all look like the little green smilies. :) :D  gallicus 03-05-2002, 05:27 AM Photos or no, postings give a better indication of someones character 'online or off' than any image could ever. Iceplug 03-05-2002, 06:58 AM Don't forget that a picture is worth five thousand keystrokes. :D (Even if it only takes three) Thinker 03-05-2002, 07:06 AM According to some estimates, I have a few million key strokes here. How many pictures is that worth? ;) Iceplug 03-06-2002, 06:57 AM OK. With 5000 keystrokes = 1 picture, 5000000 keystrokes = 1000 pictures. Sorry - I had to do that. :p "Look Ma - no calculator!":D Squirm 03-06-2002, 07:16 AM Thinker........ Makes on average 23.08 posts per day Has made 5.933% of all the posts on the forum Has been a member for only 8 months Typed approximately 568000 words Typed approximately 3075000 keystrokes Is officially insane :) Iceplug 03-06-2002, 07:26 AM Wow. 3075000 - I hope not all on the same keyboard. So 3075000 keystrokes would come out to be about 615 pictures. Look Ma - no calculator. Just a bit of mental math. ;) And according to these stats, Thinker must type a lot of 6 letter words. Hopefully none of them are "insane"... or "asylum". BTW where did these stats come from? :-\ Squirm 03-06-2002, 09:23 AM The amount of posts a user posts per day is in their profile The total posts of a user is underneath their name in all of their posts The total posts of the forum is on the main page I judged the amount of keystrokes/words on a typical post by Thinker The rest is done with a calculator. :-\ ChiefRedBull 03-06-2002, 12:25 PM Squirm..... you really need to get out more. Heh. :D Thinker 03-06-2002, 12:27 PM What do you mean Squirm? What about me? ;) Computer_Guy 03-06-2002, 02:53 PM I don't get out either, but I oughta just check out my keystrokes, though Squirm, if you're just using a typical one, and multiply it, I personally think that it would just be that, an estimate, because he said I had a scary face (about 30 chars), and sometimes he makes longer posts, but that doesn't matter anyway. That's good thinking on your part...Useless facts about Thinker will be outdated by tomorrow ;) So we'll have to depend on Squirm to give us the daily facts on Thinker's stats, lol Yeah, but anyway, I really don't mind if people know what I look like. I mean, if there are people who sometimes wonder what people on this forum look like, there you go, a sample of Computer_Guy (putting a voice on would be a REAL sample, lol). But I think for those who don't want to put up theirs is perfectly fine, though I don't think it makes you "God-Like" or "Angelic", lol Anyway, remember my face when you buy my games :D All right, more 2 cents from Computer_Guy Thanks for listening Ed PS: I'm not sure how accurate this is, but as of 4:45 pm, Eastern USA time, I've made 1/512 posts on this forum... reboot 03-06-2002, 03:04 PM "Useless facts about Thinker" sounds like a great idea for a new forum. Make Squirm the moderator. :) (Heck, everyone else has posted in this thread... about time I did) [edit] I mean, c'mon, by this time tomorrow, he'll have 6,000 posts... he DESERVES his own... :p [edit] Iceplug 03-07-2002, 06:56 AM If Computer_Guy adds 2 cents after all of his posts, then this forum is 362 cents richer ($3.62) (currently) "Useless facts about Thinker" - how come they're useless?:) Kitaiko 03-11-2002, 03:48 AM My vision of computer guy was shattered when he put up his photo. I always thought of this little computer with arms and legs. Anyway I think i will put up my pic on my avatar. Squirm 03-11-2002, 09:29 AM I say we ban Kitaiko from having an avatar. Not that you could call it an avatar, more a bandwidth hog. Volte 03-11-2002, 09:33 AM Heh, Kitaiko, how about you change it to something a bit more ...... less useless :) I mean, a picture of you (that's not animated) or a random icon from Icon Bazaar (www.iconbazaar.com) or something. I mean.... it's animated rocks. ;) Thinker 03-11-2002, 09:38 AM And a possible danger to epileptics as well. :-\ I would like to ask for voluntary restraint to no more than 12K. If we can't keep this limit, it may be necessary for Moderators to start removing Avatars from user's profiles. Please! :) Kitaiko 03-11-2002, 10:10 PM Fiiiiiiine, but that epileptsy statement was a bit stupid - I mean you need a large amount of flashing lights to cause that, that is y ppl with epilepsy get smaller T.V. screens. Thinker 03-12-2002, 07:22 AM I did put a :-\ after it to indicate I wasn't totally being serious. Perhaps I should have used ;) or :D or :p or  It is so hard to tell what smilie will give the right impression. Computer_Guy 03-12-2002, 03:04 PM well, I used a JPG, so I think my avatar is only like 2k at the MOST. BTW, my 2 cents is a catch phrase. And now it's up to just under $4.00, but other people use it. (Boy, I wish I had $4.00 right now, lol) There's my FIVE cents, HA, a nickel, NEW LINE!!! LOL Ed PS: Is it me, or when you get your paycheck, you're broke again in 24 hours? LOL Iceplug 03-13-2002, 07:10 AM It takes you that long to spend up your whole paycheck. (LOL). Just kidding. By the way, can I have the three extra cents hidden in the post?:) Don't forget that you didn't add two cents in every poll. I can find one... hopefully before my epileptic seizures kick in. :( Found it... check out the poll about games under this Random Thoughts section. Iceplug 03-13-2002, 07:21 AM One question was nagging at me though. Why are they called 'Avatars'? How about pics or pictures? What about Images? 'Personal Picture File - not responsible for epileptic seizures':D dcl3500 03-13-2002, 07:45 AM av' a•tar', noun [Skr. avatâra descent.] Incarnation; embodiment;ephinany; hence, exaltation That from my 1945 Edition of Webster's Collegiate Dictionary. I think "embodiment" is the part that most applies here; the avatar embodies our physical representation. Squirm 03-13-2002, 08:08 AM I always thought an avatar was a God in human/animal form... :-\ gallicus 03-13-2002, 10:04 AM one definition of avatar from dictionary.com 1. <chat, virtual reality> An image representing a user in a multi-user virtual reality (or VR-like, in the case of Palace) space. 2. (CMU, Tektronix) root, superuser. There are quite a few Unix computers on which the name of the superuser account is "avatar" rather than "root". This quirk was originated by a CMU hacker who disliked the term "superuser", and was propagated through an ex-CMU hacker at Tektronix. [Jargon File] (1997-09-14) yeah... also seems to be an embodiement of a Hindu god Vishnu. dcl3500 03-13-2002, 10:30 AM So am I to take that it may be time to buy an updated copy of Webster's Collegiate Dictionary? I don't think there was "Multi-user VR environments" or "Unix" when mine was printed. But it does have such a neat section on new words added during WWII. A lot of which most of us probably have never heard of. Computer_Guy 03-13-2002, 08:26 PM By the way, even though many feelings were hurt after you all discovered I'm actually a HUMAN ;) and I have ARMS & LEGS ;) , and they aren't mechanical ;) I don't know how this is gonna sound, because I'm ultra tired, but I'm really glad I found this site and met all of you, it's really been a positive experience, and I'm looking forward to sticking around for a LLLLLOOOONNNNNGGG Time... There's more 2 cents from Ed PS: It would be cool if a few of us could meet in real life sometime, possibly a few of us on the East Coast or something...Just a thought... Kitaiko 03-13-2002, 11:57 PM Im on the east cost... of australia. gallicus 03-14-2002, 02:15 AM I'm on the East Coast too! .... of England Hey I think your Avatar is rad. It would be better if you were getting some air though. Pookie 03-14-2002, 02:20 AM I think my avatar is the best. :p I thought he was falling off the skateboard.... :D I'm from Northern Queensland, but living in Hong Kong at the moment. :( gallicus 03-14-2002, 02:22 AM Yes I admit your avatar is the best, hands down. Pookie 03-14-2002, 02:27 AM I stole Pookie (The fluffy dog) from a chick once.... Very sad. :D It's become a sort of idol now. Maybe I need medical help..... Squirm 03-14-2002, 02:28 AM Well at least the new avatar isnt animated. Pookie 03-14-2002, 02:29 AM Now that's an idea........ Kitaiko 03-14-2002, 02:35 AM I am getting air in it but my friend is not a good photographer. Ill probably change it to a trick when I get a new battery for my camera. BTW your dog rules Garrett Sever 03-14-2002, 06:16 AM You all are totally wrong. Thinker's avatar is undeniably the best. :p Iceplug 03-14-2002, 07:22 AM I thought Kitaiko's picture was a picture of someone with their arms open wide looking towards the sun. And there happened to be a skateboard too. You all are totally wrong. Thinker's avatar is undeniably the best. Thinker's has got to be the best because all the newcomers steal and use his avatar.;) Volte 03-14-2002, 08:44 AM I thought Thinker's avatar http://images.google.ca/images?q=tbn:NKX8N73gl5EC:eserver.org/emc/1-2/images/thinker.gif before we switched forums was quite a good one. :) ChiefRedBull 03-14-2002, 11:21 AM Personally I like Squirms. It cracks me up every time I see it.... :D:D:D Kitaiko 03-14-2002, 11:37 PM This is a better shot Pookie 03-15-2002, 12:59 AM When I look at Squirm's Avatar. (Trying not to laugh here) I can't help but think of it as a mug shot of someone ready to go to jail. :D Squirm 03-15-2002, 02:12 AM Okay okay, enough with the pick-on-Squirm idea. Kitaiko 03-15-2002, 05:49 AM Originally posted by Squirm I say we ban Kitaiko from having an avatar. Not that you could call it an avatar, more a bandwidth hog. HEY! I didnt see this post before, why ban me? Iceplug 03-15-2002, 07:12 AM I think it was the avatar with the 'shaking land'. A bit distracting, large.... Can't look at it directly without getting motion sickness. The pictures of the person (I assume is you) on the skateboard are all right. ;) Banjo 03-15-2002, 07:13 AM Because of your propensity for horrendous animated avatars :). However, you have a sensible one now so we're not going to ban you for it. Kitaiko 03-15-2002, 07:50 AM yeah its me... a sensible me Kitaiko 03-16-2002, 10:15 AM Is there any way to not view avatars. The novelty has worn off, and the ones that are looking at the camera are begining to freak me out. I suppose I deserve it :D Derek Stone 03-16-2002, 11:22 AM User Control Panel > Edit Options Regards, -CL Gamer X 03-16-2002, 06:54 PM Like the dictionary says, I believe that one's avatar should be the "Embodiment" of his/her online personality. I picked Ryo-ohki because that is the image of my online self I wish to present. Quiet, cheerful, mysterious, and ready to kick booty if the need be.
