Well, it's another slow Saturday night, so I've been googling around...looking for Matrix Transformation code, downloading some 3D graphics tutorials, and looking for source code updates to different open source VB games. I followed a link off the VBGamer site and ended up at this wierd wiki site:
http://channel9.msdn.com/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=74
"We are five guys at Microsoft who want a new level of communication between Microsoft and developers. We believe that we will all benefit from a little dialogue these days. This is our first attempt to move beyond the newsgroup, the blog, and the press release to talk with each other, human to human."
I guess this site has been up for several months now, but this is the first I've happened upon it. Am I totally clueless or has anyone (everyone) else been to the site? ...and what do you think?
Here's part of the Channel 9 Doctrine:
"1. Channel 9 is all about the conversation. Channel 9 should inspire Microsoft and our customers to talk in an honest and human voice. Channel 9 is not a marketing tool, not a PR tool, not a lead generation tool"
Note to dial-up users: some of the video files are over 100MB
I was hoping that the site would offer some way to post some feedback on some of Microsoft dev products, but it all just seems to be chit chat, though they do have a "Techoff" forum for technical conversations.
The site seems to be "evolving" and there are many threads going back and forth about changes, but what it exactly is evolved into (or what direction the 5 guys from Microsoft are trying to take it) isn't exactly clear.
Anyway I'd just though I throw this out...any and all feedback welcome. Thanks in advance.
