i can't find anything usefull for vb 6.

You should take a look at the ADO tutorial (http://www.xtremevbtalk.com/showthread.php?threadid=66994).

Try these:

1. Using myodbc (through ODBC, easy but slower.)
http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/connector/odbc/

2. VBMYSqlDirect (continuation of MyVBQL. 'not so easy' but faster)
http://www.vbmysql.com/projects/vbmysqldirect

3. Using Gelu's GMySql.dll and tlb (from a1vb1.com i believe)
i forget the url, so i attach the file.

notes:
a. MyOdbc is mysql AB products.
b. Mike Hillyer from VBMySql.com is now MySql AB Employee.
c. This is my first ever post to xtremevbtalk.

1. forget to mention libmywitch. This one is a commercial activex.
http://www.richtsoft.com/mysql_28_libmywitch.html

It make easier to access remote MySql behind firewall by creating a PHP script. If your mysql server is in localhost then i suggest using the free one :D or just create the php script by yourself and call it from vb

2. about the gmysql.dll i finally found the url
http://www.a1vbcode.com/app.asp?ID=1764

3. You want to check this one too (i've never tried it)
www.freevbcode.com/ShowCode.asp?ID=6366

oh..and of course you also need libmysql.dll (just d/l mysql database)
