win 2k on peer to peer

can someone tell me how to put win 2k in a peer to peer environment so that ALL will have full access to it's shares w/out that password box? i've used the admin tools to set the permissons for "everyone" to rwx, but anytime i try to access it thru network neighboorhood i either get "..\IPC$" password box request or "No permission to this device"!

Have you tried the Guest account?

But wait, you are sharing between Win2K and Win9X machines?
If so the username for Win9X will be used when connecting to the Win2K machine, so just set up some accounts for the Win9X machines.

have u tired setting up user accounts? i am having a connectivity with 5 pcs peer to peer using coaxial cable and iam using win 2k pro. Set the user name and password the same as the login name and password for the other users, get what i mean?
