Hi again,
I have downloaded some very nice 128x128 icons and wish to use them in my Visual Basic applications inside toolbars and/or buttons.

When I attempt to add the icons to an imagelist (or as the picture of a button) the error "Invalid Picture" occurs. This is also true for the PNG formats of the icons.

Can anyone please explain how I can make use of these icons?

Regards.

VB doesn't provide any native (in-built) support for icons larger than 32x32.

However, if you feel comfortable with using the Win32 API, you can read through this vbAccelerator page for more info on how it might be done:

If VB doesn't have support for icons larger than 32x32 why bother making 128x128 icons?

You might be suprised to learn there are other programming languages besides VB.

I even hear there are other Operating Systems besides Windows as well, but I think
that may have been in National Enquirer, or Ripley's "Believe it or Not".
