I'm using Access 2000 on a WinNT network -- it was installed by the system admin and i'm not sure if i have the needed permissions to update anything.
My problem is that i don't have the Common Dialog Control listed -- is there anything I can do to make this happen?

The ActiveX control for that is
comdlg32.ocx
You could try putting that into your system32 dir and check in the components box to see if the common dialog is there, if not, click on browse to see if that will install it...
If you don't have the file, do a search on the net for it as I'm sure microsoft will have a copy of it on it's servers.

I think you will need SR1 for Office 2000 (http://office.microsoft.com/downloads/2000/O2kSR1DDL.aspx?FinishURL=%2Fdownloads%2Frelease%2Easp%3Freleaseid%3D20 613%26area%3Dtop%26ordinal%3D7%26redirect%3Dno) . while you're there, get SP2 as well (http://www.microsoft.com/office/ork/2000/journ/OffSP2.htm?FinishURL=%2Fdownloads%2Frelease%2Easp%3Freleaseid%3D26102% 26redirect%3Dno)
