update cdx files

Picture this.
files:
Table.dbf
Table.cdx
driver:
Foxpro 3.0 (=visual foxpro)
Question:
When i add something in Table.dbf the cdx file isn't updated. Is there anyway to do that?.
If the database was a microsoft jet table then i could use the CompactDatabase method. I wounder if there is an similar method or something else to do that agaist a FoxPro/dBase table.
I'm having great problems with this, i'm interested in any solution that u may find.

This is a well known (but lightly documented) problem.

Note it doesn't happen with all dbase formats just some!

I've came across it several times.

The problem is MS ODBC drivers for all dbase formats are ****e (excuse the language)

Our way around was to purchase custom made ODBC drivers, they were fairly expensive.

Can't think of the company name right now , search the web for ODBC drivers.
