Salat 03-09-2002, 02:01 PM Did you guys noticed that if you have problems with understandnig of somebody's post, he/she usually didn't pass the location of his/her living. Just like me, my english is poor and sometimes I have some small problems with being understood.
What I trying to say, that you non-english users of VBForum shouldn't to be ashemed of your's knowledge of English language.
Did somebody understand me?
Salat 03-09-2002, 02:21 PM You had passed the location.
Respect...
dcl3500 03-09-2002, 02:31 PM By "passed" you mean enter your geographical location in your user profile? I think many new users don't realize that the option is there to do this. In some cases though, the user may feel more secure not posting where they live. I think it is nice to be able to see where people are from. I don't care to know their street address, but knowing what state, country they are posting from is nice.
Salat 03-09-2002, 02:46 PM pass = enter geographical location.
Yes, that is realy nice to know what country they are posting.
I'm glad you did understand me:)
Robby 03-10-2002, 06:45 PM I understood you, and I agree with Don, it is nice too know what part of the world someone is from.
Kitaiko 03-11-2002, 12:51 AM hmm i think i will change my options after this
Banjo 03-11-2002, 09:00 AM To be honest, most of the time, if we have problems understanding people, it is not from non-native English speakers (who generally make an attempt at proper grammer) but from the "kewl" kiddies (mostly native English speakers) who think its clever to completely ignore punctuation, spelling and grammer.

Banjo 03-19-2002, 12:49 PM Oops, my mistake :).
Iceplug 03-19-2002, 02:05 PM Is it me or does this thread say "should be" on the outside and "shouldn't be" on the inside?
Robby 03-19-2002, 02:40 PM IcePlug, it's not just you.
Gamer X 03-19-2002, 07:35 PM My theory on the reason for the differences of thread topics is that Salat meant to say "shouldn't be", but instead said "should be", and that's what took with the main listing. Then he edited his post to change it, but it only changed the subject inside the thread, not in the listing. Just a little bug in the forum system.

Thinker 03-19-2002, 08:37 PM What makes you think this is a bug? Each post has a title, and
the thread has a title. It is a feature that when you start a new
thread, it copies the title to both. As long as you do it in the next
5 minutes, you can edit either one.
Gamer X 03-19-2002, 10:32 PM Oh, okay, I guess I just assumed too much (^_^;)> Sorry . . .
Gamer X
Thinker 03-19-2002, 10:38 PM I think I forgot to put the ;) :D at the end of my post.
No need to be sorry. :D
