JavaScript is quite a powerful little language (for a client side language). I saw this one a few days ago that was made in Flash, but it was really cool ... ... searching ... Hmmm... it used to be at man.aaronclinger.com but it looks like it's gone... oh well. :-\ Computer_Guy 03-10-2002, 09:44 AM I think that's the best clock thing I've seen. I've seen a few clocks like that, that move around, but none had the date around them, that's cool. John 03-10-2002, 10:17 AM That is pretty cool. Robby 03-10-2002, 06:54 PM Very cool. Funny that most web sites seem to be simplifing their pages, instead of using the power of all the languages. What I mean is there seems to be less gadgets and movement on web-sites then in the past. Kitaiko 03-10-2002, 10:42 PM That is really good Iceplug 03-11-2002, 07:07 AM Nice. A bit mesmerizing, but I like it that way. :) Banjo 03-11-2002, 08:08 AM The reason you have seen a decline in flashy graphical websites is that when the tools and languages first became available, everyone thought that they would have to use them to attract users. Then, reality dawned when users started avoiding them like the plague because they took too long to download on a 56K modem. I'm sure when broadband becomes more prevalent you will start seeing them being used again. Squirm 03-11-2002, 09:47 AM ... not to mention that they can clutter up a page and distract the user..... wilfwolf, excellent stuff. Probably one of the best mouse-trails I have ever seen. Would be annoying after a while, but still very cool. usetheforce2 03-11-2002, 01:44 PM nice, thats pretty sweet :) HedleyKow 03-11-2002, 05:54 PM If you made the color of the text change based upon the color of the background/picture/whatever behind it, that'd be really cool. That way you could read it no matter what was behind it. Squirm 03-11-2002, 06:03 PM Did you make this, wildwolf? I assumed you did, but I just re-read your original post and you didnt say...... is this your creation? :) wild wolf 03-12-2002, 12:15 AM yeah i did but i did it with some help here and there, my freind helped with the clock and i worked on the date revolving, well if you remember i used to curse java everytime on mirc, well i was working on this and finally its up, currently iam working on another script, which i will upload it soon HedleyKow, the picture was put there intentionally, i think i will change it to a lighter color :D |
