Bootstrapping

Hi all, I have a need to bootstrap the Java runtime environment onto my installation project. I just don't know how I would, I searched but couldn't find anything on it. Is there a process for bootstrapping other installations or do you have to find a plugin for each one (like I did for the .Net framework)? I actually have another one I need to bootstrap so if the same principles apply that wouild be great. thanks.
