Urgent Help!!!

Hello.

I am trying to save a Rich Text Box into a Text Column in an SQL SERVER database.

however when I try to retrieve the data into a rich text box in VB I get a lot of funny characters....

This occurs when a user types accented characters in that rich text box before saving...

Is there any solution to this?

hmm this might sound a bit clunky, but how about scanning through the rich text box and getting the asc() of each character in the string, and placing a comma between each one. so you would end up with a string like this to store into the text field in the database:

23,67,45,113,56,88,92

then when you read the string back from the text field, use the split() function to create an array of character codes from the text field string, then loop through the array and create a string using the chr() function of each character code in the array.
