Take a look in the MSDN for the Snap Shot Viewer. It is an Active X control that you can put on a form and have it show an Access report without opening up Access. I had a form with the control and code on it somewhere, but I seem to have misplaced it. A search of the forum provided a few threads, and a google search will provide more. Meanwhile I'll look for that project when I can.

You can also use automation. In this case, VB opens its own instance of Access, using this instance to view or print the report.

Whoops - is this question related to this (http://www.xtremevbtalk.com/showthread.php?t=230125) post?

BTW. HERE's (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=b73df33f-6d74-423d-8274-8b7e6313edfb&DisplayLang=en) the link to the snapshot viewer downlosd at MS
