Making and hearing sound under VB6

I am having problems getting VB6 to make a sound using Beep(200,2000). My MSDN doesn't show any examples or syntax. Speakers are working as i hear other sound for errors ect. What are the alternatives for making sounds prorgramatically.

What I would like is a several "click sounds" and "triangle sounds" that I can change volume on.

I would also like to be able to "hear" a sound as an event. At least know that it was made. Currently I have know idea where to begin on the hearing the event.

Thanks for the quick reply. Looks like that will accomplish the making sounds part.

Any ideas on how to hear a sound and use the sound to trigger and event or action?
