When creating applications in .net 2005 you obviously need the .net framework 2 beta installed. Do you need the framework 2 beta installed to run the application or can it be run with the old version installed?

I'd get the Full Version of Visual Studio now that it's released. No reason to still be using the Beta. 2. Yes, any programs written using 2005 will require version 2.0 of the Framework. SharkBait 11-14-2005, 07:30 AM I am not sure of the beta, but the 2.0 was released the other day and is available on the website. Not to kinda steal this thread but... will 2.0 bugger things up that were done with 1.1?? wayneph 11-14-2005, 07:53 AM 2.0 is supposed to be able to run things written using 1.1. However, I suggest a lot of testing, and not just assuming. |
