I recently upgraded my computer from Win 2000 to XP professional. I made changes to an app that I had used several times before.
When I went to install the new app on a Windows 2000 machine I got a message stating that certain files needed to be updated before I could continue set-up. After I let it update the files the computer rebooted fine and my app ran perfectly. Only problem was that another program on the machine started bombing.
Here are my dependency files:
COMDLG32.OCX
MSADO26.TLB
MSADODC.OCX
MSBIND.DLL
MSSTDFMT.DLL
VB6 Runtime & OLE Automation
Which of these files could my application be updating that would cause compatability problems with other programs?
Do I NEED any of these files included in my package to run on a Windows 2000 machine?
