Hi!
Currently I have developed a VB program and it's running on a server using SQL7.0 as the backend database.

I would like to enquire whether it is feasible to install and run both the VB program with SQL7.0 loaded on just a standalone PC. If it is possible, what minimum configurations must the PC have before it can run SQL7.0.

Thankyou for responding... :)

There's no reason why you can't do this. All you need is a SQL Server 7 Desktop Edition license. I would also recommend upgrading to service pack 2 for SQL - it fixed loads of bugs.

Also, something odd you might see is a full stop (period) "." in the server name box - this is a notation used to indicate the local machine (sometimes you see "(Local)" too)... this doesn't matter, it works just as well.
