hi all, as per the topic name, thats what i'm trying to do atm by changing images one by one. however, everything happens so fast that to the user, its as if nothing has happened at all. is there any way of slowing things down so that the user can see my images in sequence? or slowing down the clock/timer or something like that?

If you're using a timer, you can probably just increase its Interval property. For more specific advice, we'll need to see the code for the method you're using.

not much of coding included, anyway here it is:

'page2 etc are pictureboxes
Function flippage()
'simulate flipping of pages here
page2.Visible = True

page3.Visible = True
page2.Visible = False

page4.Visible = True
page3.Visible = False

page5.Visible = True
page4.Visible = False

page6.Visible = True
page5.Visible = False

page6.Visible = False
End Function

Well, first of all, realize that code effects do not take place until execution has finished for the time being or Application.DoEvents has been called.

Why don't you use a timer to do the page flipping? This would be a more efficient solution that injecting Application.DoEvents and Threading.Thread.Sleep calls in between each page turn (although, the latter is a possible solution) :).

thks, i did something like changing the images only when the timer ticks. ^_^
