Strange error with DX9 and VB.NET

EDIT: Sorry, I didn't notice that I were posting in the wrong section of VB programming. Please move the topic to the .NET instead.

Hey, I've created a simple 3D Chess game using DirectX 9 and VB.NET. The game runs fine on my computer, which is quite new, but when I run it on an older computer with like GForce 2 I get this strange error message saying there's something wrong in the process. I cant provide a screenshot right now as I'm not at home, but I think the error is caused before the program is even loaded.

Is this error due to the graphics card or is it something else? Any ideas?

Thanks in advance,
DLine

Well, I don't know what the error is...
There are a certain list of graphics cards that can run DX9... it's probably a graphics card issue. :)

Thanks for your replies.

satanas, I looked at the posts from the link you gave me but I dont think this is the same error, thanks anyway.

The game has been tested on several different computers (pretty new ones) and it has worked on all, but when I try it on older computers it doesnt work. Is it possible that the drivers for the graphics card is out-of-date? Because I doubt the drivers installed on the older computers are new. I havent got access to update the drivers but do you think this could be the problem?

Thanks for your time,

Way out of my scope of expertise, but are you installing DX9 with the app on the older machines?

If not, I would think that'd be a problem. If you are, then it's probably the graphic cards or their drivers that aren't DX9 compatible.

Yes, I'm installing DX9 along with the game. I guess it has to be like you said, either the graphics card does not support DX9 or the drivers dont.

Well, hopefully I can work it out somehow. Thanks for all your help.
