detection of file modification

hello,
I would like to make a program able to detect the files that are modified.
Is there a VB or windows function that allow user to know if a file has been modified, read or created?

Look into FSO (file system object). It is not 100% reliable, because these things can be faked, but is quite suitable for normal use.
