can i ask for help...how to read the barcode ...through ...com port ?? can anyone help?

Well forst of all you need to know a frew things about your barcode reader. For example the Baud Rate, Data Bits, Parity, and Stop Bits.

Then you could just use a timer to read the data from the CommPort. I have quite a bit of experience using the MSComm control. If you need some help feel free to email me at electrolinx@yahoo.com
