How can I raise mousemove event in a form whose IsMDIContainer is set to true? I searched the different forums and knowledge base but I can't find the solution for this.

I've done a quick search myself it would appear it's not possible (see last paragraph of this (http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/vbcon/html/vbconFormEventChangesInVisualBasicNET.asp) article). Perhaps if you explain what you are trying to achieve we can suggest a workaround.

Thanks for your reply. The scenario is I have a side menu on my MDI form, and a picture box beside it both docked to the left. What I want to do which works with VB6 is whenever I put my mouse over the picture box, the side menu would appear and on MouseMove in the MDI form, the side menu would then disappear (concept of autohide). Maybe I'll just use the MdiChildActivate event to trigger this. Thanks for the info.

You might be able to get an alternative working using the MouseEnter and MouseLeave events of the panel.
