You would need gratis access to an existing platform or service provider. You could also use your own service provider.

Only your service provider can answer that question.

There's a few online services to send SMS for free I think but the technical details about who they use to send it is something I do not know.

Until we have some details about a service we can't really help you use the service, unfortunately I don't know of any places that provide this kind of service.

I have an app that sends SMS to verizon wireless customers and it's just #########@vtext.com. Max msg limit is 160 so I just split the msg and send 2 txts if it's greater.

All I am familiar with is Verizon. I guess all wirelss sp's dont have the email option?
