Hello,

I have a spreadsheet that shows a drop down selection list on right click. This has not been done via the 'Data-->Validation' method it looks like VBA but the VBA code is password protected and the author is no longer contactable.

I have put a screen shot of it on the attached file, anyone know how to create this? Your help is greatly appreciated.

Regards

Welcome to the forum garethkhill :)

What you have there is a shortcut menu. Unfortunately there isn't a way to edit these without using VBA, and they are usually created at runtime. So the only way for you to change your menu is to get the password.

There are several commercial sites which will do this for you, but we don't permit such discussions here for obvious reasons.

Thanks Timbo

All I really wanted to do with is was to create my own on a new form (I think it looks much better than the Data-->validate method). Any ideas how to do this, could you provide a really basic example and I can adapt to my needs, or perhaps there is a website to help that you can recommend?

Thanks again Timbo

You can have a look at this link. I wrote that a while ago as an example.
It's in french but the code should give you an idea on how to create menus and sub-menus
