New Comer

I've been programming in VB for over a year now, and have decided to learn a new language. I decided C++ because it is widely used. Now all I have to do is start learning it. Does anyone know where I should start? I started learning VB at school but they don't have a course on C++. Is there any good web sites for learners? Thanks, Sid :)
