Help needed to create I.E. plugin similar to goolge toolbar

Hi,

I am interested in making an internet explorer plugin similar to the google toolbar.

I need it to be in the form of a toolbar and it will need to open one of a number of forms (vb6 forms) from the relevant link on the toolbar.

Also is it possible to incorporate this toolbar into explorer so that it automatically loads up with IE when i open the web.

I have done a fair bit of looking around but can only find stuff written in c++ and vb.net. I am using vb6.

Finally any source code on this area that people have would be greatly appreciated as i am relatively new to vb and find it easier to work with some sourcecode.
