Command Button Caption

I have a Command Button on an Excel Worksheet, and the full vertical portion of my caption does not display
(bottom portion of lower case letters hanging below the imaginary writing line).

I have tried increasing the height of the button, but this has no effect.

Funny thing when the button has the focus, the caption is displayed properly.

How can I fix this?

Could you post a screenshot?

Eek, that seems to be a generic problem. If you play with the font size, the issue alternatingly becomes better and worse again. Try searching the forum and the net for this, it's bound to have been discussed quite a bit.

Could you live with changing the font to, say, Times New Roman Trebuchet?

I quickly experimented with this in Excel 2007 and it appears to no longer be an issue.

Does TNR solve the issue for you in Excel XP, Colin? At size 10 I get the same effect. The only standard font that seems allright at all sizes is Trebuchet, for me.

Yes I must have had Trebuchet selected rather than Times New Roman... they're next to each other in the list.

But there are other fonts too - Courier New also appears to be okay, for example.

Thanks guys!!

As long as I know I wasn't doing something wrong, I will live with this
or select one of the other fonts suggested, as a work around.
