Error 3447 (VBAJET32.dll)

Why the following error occurs?

"Run-time error ´3447`
The JetVBA file (VBAJET.dll for 16-bir versions or VBAJET32.dll for
32-bitversions) failed to initialize when called. Try reinstalling
the aplication that returned the error."

What are you running to get this? Is it within VB ? If so what version? Was it an application?

Have you tried looking it up in MS Knowledge DB?

I'm working with VB6 and DAO 3.5.
This application was installed in several PCs and are running perfectly, but in some PCs, in application's initialization, the 3447 error occurs.
This error never occurs when the system is Win95, only in WinXP, Win2000 or Win98 system.

Have you properly installed your application and all database drivers (MDAC_TYP.EXE) on the target machines?

It could be quite difficult to get the proper components for dao 3.5
installed on a win2k/xp computer because they already have too
new a version of mdac_typ installed. You should probably go to
DAO 3.6, and try installing mdac_typ 2.5, or if they already have
2.6 or higher, include the extra jet components file.
