vsflexgrid resizing

Hello all,
does anyone know if you can resize a column where the first row is frozen?
i had this working when the row was fixed, and could easily drag the cols to the size i wanted, but i had to change this to a frozen row in order to catch the first row click event. (user wanted to be able to rename the col headings). but now that i have changed this, the resize bit has stopped working...
i have checked and the allowuserresizing bit is still enabled to resize cols.
any ideas???

To have column resizing you need a fixed row.

I don't understand why you gave up the fixed row for a frozen row.
