This relates to KB913580;
(Note: After the KB is installed, uninstalling it does NOT reverse the problem...)
Whenever this is installed, VB4 crashes on loading with the ever vague "Unexpeceted error, quitting" message. I expect it related to a loaded component or changed file but I'm unable to trace it down. MS did have a patch/hotfix for the MSdtc 1.1 but I'm unable to locate it at this juncture. Any ideas?
(This does not affect compiled EXEs.)
