I’ve upgraded the mediaplayer inside an app I have from the original Win95 vintage player (wmp.dll) to the current one (msdxm.ocx). I did this so folks could play their .wma files. What’s happened is that something has cropped up now regarding .wav files. They play just fine, but the little tracking bar tracks for about 2 seconds then resets back to zero. The track continues to play, but the indicator bar doesn’t progress. If you want to slide it ahead or click to another spot (with .wav files), you’re out of luck. If, using the control buttons on the player, you stop or pause then play, everything works like it should have done in the first place. Plus, this happens on some machines, but not others. I can throw a different control in there as a work-around, but I’d rather understand what’s going on and fix it. Does anyone have ideas on where to go with this. Thanks in advance...
