Problem Installing Services Packs

For some reason when I try to install ANY service packs it tells says: "BECAUSE SETUP DID NOT DETECT ANY VISUAL STUDIO 6.0 PRODUCTS ON YOUR SYSTEM, THE SERVICE PACK WILL NOT BE INSTALLED."
I have Enterprise installed on my machine. ?????

Did you the install .Net and then unistall it? I did that and received the same error message. I ended up having to reinstall the entire Enterprise Editon.
