newb - referencing a cell on another worksheet...?

I am on sheet2 and I need a value which is located on Sheet1 in cell G2.
G2 is formatted as Text.

How do I get the value from Sheet1 G2 into a variable?

If you are talking about getting a value from one sheet into another, then it does not make sense to refer to variables. If you want to get a value from a sheet in VBA code, then you may want to have it into a variable.
Which one are you after?
