Hopefully someone can help me with this. I've been trying to develop an assistance program for our Fantasy Football draft this year that will put each member on a 3 minute draft timer. I've got the timer portion working pretty well, but I'm trying to make it display who the next member to draft is in a text box, as well as in the message box that appears notifying me that the time is up based on the draft order on the tab that all this is taking place. So for example
A B C D
1 Name Email Paid Pick #
2 Player1 Player1@yahoo.com No 1
3 Player2 Player2@yahoo.com No 2
4 Player3 Player3@yahoo.com No 3
5 Player4 Player4@yahoo.com No 4
6 Player5 Player5@yahoo.com No 5
7 Player6 Player6@yahoo.com No 6
8 Player7 Player7@yahoo.com No 7
9 Player8 Player8@yahoo.com No 8
10 Player9 Player9@yahoo.com No 9
11 Player10 Player10@yahoo.com No 10
12 Player11 Player11@yahoo.com No 11
13 Player12 Player12@yahoo.com No 12
(Represented with the rows and column headers)
So for example everytime I click the button to start my timer I'd like for the name of the player on the board to appear in a text box. I'm not sure how many of you are familiar with the way Fantasy Drafts work but we typically do a snake draft order.
IE:
Round 1
Pick 1, Pick 2, Pick 3, Pick 4, Pick 5, Pick 6, Pick 7, Pick 8, Pick 9, Pick 10, Pick 11, Pick 12
Round 2
Pick 12, Pick 11, Pick 10, Pick 9, Pick 8, Pick 7, Pick 6, Pick 5, Pick 4, Pick 3, Pick 2, Pick 1
And so on and so forth.
I'm having trouble getting this to work for me though, here is what I've got at the moment.
Private Sub CommandButton1_Click()
Status = True
TextBox2.Text = ActiveCell.Offset(0, -3)
ActiveCell.Offset(1, 0).Select
End Sub
I know it's not much but it gets the names in the box for me. It won't however do the draft order as when it reaches the end of the list it continues on down the columns.
What am I doing wrong? Please Help. I am using Microsoft VB 6.5 imbedded in Microsoft Excel
