How do you create help files for Visual Basic? I've tried using notepad and saving the file in .hlp, but it says it's corrupt or else not a valid windows file.
Thanks,
Kid

Thanks, Kid OnErr0r 07-22-2002, 08:15 AM Use HCW, it comes with VB. Look on the CD. The whole trick is to use MS Word to create the rtf files. You'll find a LOT of people don't care to use HCW. The .chm format is getting very popular now, as its based on HTML. Personally, I'm still partial to .hlp :P KidCoder 07-22-2002, 08:33 AM What CD? MSDN, Learn VB 6.0 Now, the VB Installation CD, or the service pack CD? lebb 07-22-2002, 08:34 AM The VB installation CD. KidCoder 07-22-2002, 08:48 AM Cool. I found it, but I'm kind of lost. How do I use this? If you don't want to go through the whole program, explaining everything, then could you point me to a FAQ or something? Thanks, Kid OnErr0r 07-22-2002, 09:11 AM I suggest you read the documentation, it pretty much walks you through the entire process. KidCoder 07-22-2002, 09:13 AM Alright, cool. I'll try that after Timon and Puumba is over,:D and I'll get back to you. KidCoder 07-22-2002, 09:57 AM Cool! I love programs that have walkthroughs. I know how to do it now! :) Thanks OnError, Lebb, Kid |
