Hi...

This is my intro message in addition to the description of error, i aim to solve with the help of your assistance.

Coming straight to the issue, i am a newbie & not yet very comfortable with Visual Basic. I developed a software intended to relate my website with the software. The software aims at solving the purpose of website straight from the software. In simple terms, adding convenience to end users.

The problem is, the software works great, only if the computer has Microsoft Visual Studio installed. If, i try to run the software on computers without Visual Studio. It shows error, msinet.ocx missing. Sometimes, some time error is regarding, dll regarding Richtext format is missing.

Where i am helpless is, how do i include those components "Microsoft Inet" etc.. into the setup file. I have no ideas of publishing a setup file & including all components within.

If, for reference, someone needs to look up at software i am talking about, you may take a look by downloading it ...

It's 100 KB. So shouldn't be that difficult, but again, its totally your call.

Thanks for reading till here & thanks in advance. One more thing, this website is quite active & attractive. Thanks to administrator & moderators for managing it so well :)

Oh well.... I guess Package & Deployment Wizard is the answer?
I was browsing your helpful database on forums & came to this conclusion. Your suggestions will be highly appreciated.

Thanks!

Yes, definitely the P&DW should help.

As a side note, I seriously doubt that anyone here will download your executable file to check it out, due to the risks involved (which is why we do not allow posting .exe's on the forums). If you would like feedback on your project, please feel free to upload a .zip file with your source code.

I understand... For now, I used Inno Setup & that worked great. I will also recommend not to download the file any more, since it's modified with solution i was looking for :)

Thanks for valuable information through forums. If administrator wants, this topic may be closed. The main purpose of topic is already solved.

Personal thanks to lebb for taking out time to reply.

Thanks!
